A Bunch of Old People Fighting over Some Job a Year Early

"I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me —and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.” -Donald Trump

Do you know what really grinds my gears? People who are too focused on the future to live in the present.  Well, lately about 20 geezers have been fighting over their party’s nomination for an election THAT IS A YEAR AWAY. That’s right folks, the 2016 Presidential election is already in full swing.  Now, I could name off every single candidate, but frankly I have neither the time nor amount of characters to do so.  Here’s what you need to know so far.
President Obama’s term is winding down, the democrats will have held the White House for eight years by January 20, 2017 and that means someone new gets the reigns of the Executive branch.  Now, in recent years one party doesn’t hold control of the White House for longer than eight years (with some exceptions). Meaning, the Republicans are due for a spot in the White House.
Within the GOP (Fancy term for Republican) Donald Trump is in the lead.  This is a surprise to many, for “the Donald” is definitely not a career politician and to some his rhetoric is offensive.  Other Washington outsiders, such as Dr. Benjamin Carson and former CEO, Carley Fiorina, have been up in the polls.  Other notable candidates are former Florida Governor, Jeb Bush (guess who his brother is) and another Floridian by the name of Marco Rubio.  Now, on the other side of the aisle, Hillary Clinton has been dominating among Democrats.  However, Independent/Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders continues to gain a following.
Stay tuned for more Presidential election updates.
