Eight senior directors earned all five stars that One Acts so greatly deserved. Time, effort and many spit takes were put into this year’s shows and the efforts paid dividends on Saturday. Having less than a month to prepare, all of the actors and directors were pushed hard to get everything right with last-minute line cutting, improv and tweaks to put the cherry on top. A diverse night, every director made great choices in plays and casting.

Shamblin Theater overflowed with family, teachers and peers alike jockeyed for any remaining chairs and for the best view of the stage. All six one act plays contributed to covering the spectrum, including how to kiss a girl, introspection and even acted as a reminder of fine British literature with the complete works of William Shakespeare abridged. Very abridged.

The seniors really broke a leg this year with great direction and casting, and every person involved in the production brought great energy to the stage and made everybody’s Saturday night.
