Finals week is approaching and as loads and loads of homework and studying are approaching it is easy to find yourself buried under the amount of stress that this week brings on. Below is a list of ways that the experts have said you can help to relieve your stress:

  1. Meditate for a few minutes a day.
  2. Breathe deeply, take a five minute break if you’re feeling stressed and just take deep breaths.
  3. Be present, take a minute or two to focus on only one behavior with your awareness.
  4. Reach out, take to social media and talk to someone in person or on the phone.
  5. Tune into your body, mentally think about and analyze the way the stress of your day has affected your body.
  6. Decompress, massage away your tensions.
  7. Laugh out loud!
  8. Crank up the tunes, listening to nature sounds can help relax and soothe you, likewise, listening to louder music with more of a beat can help to make you happy and relieve your stress in that way too.
  9. Get moving, any kind of exercise, even light yoga, can help to release comforting chemicals in your body and relax your mind.
  10. Be grateful, keep a gratitude journal to remind yourself of the blessings in your life.
  11. Talk yourself through it, if you can speak calmly to yourself it will greatly help to get rid of your stress.
  12. Eat right, if you avoid sugary snacks and heavy meals it will help to keep your body feeling lighter which will also help your mind feel lighter.
  13. Go to sleep, if you are up late studying for something, odds are you will be tired in the morning and not be able to focus on your work or remember everything you just studied.

Finally, remember, its just a test grade and you will be fine if you don’t do great on every single exam. Good luck!
