There are two kinds of people: those who dread this season and those whose every breath is fueled by it. One can see the occasional upperclassman boy with flowers or even a poster board with some kind of pun that’s probably not very original walking the hallway, occasionally glancing to see if a certain someone isn’t around because it’s not time yet.

With a theme of Starry Night, Junior/Senior Banquet season is here, and talk of it is infectious (and obnoxious).

The banquet takes place on Friday, April 22nd at 7:00 PM. Those who are worried that the 4 hour interval between the end of a normal school day and the start of the banquet just simply isn’t enough time to primp and prep need not fret; that Friday is a half day at school. Guys, you have just thirteen hours to put on a tux.

For the location, the banquet is at the Loveless Cafe’s barn. Sorry, those who insist on arriving about an hour early to everything, because the doors open only half an hour prior to  the banquet beginning. After you have the opportunity to get you and your hot date’s picture made by Scott Ellis (what a guy), the food will be served. The meal consists of traditional southern foods that Loveless is known for. However, if you or your date made the unfortunate decision to be a vegetarian or vegan, or has allergies, you must contact Ms. Thomas soon so you’re not stuck with a dinner of lettuce with a side of lettuce.

Upperclassmen, submit the attendance form by April 5 even if you’re one of those avoiding this event so that there is an accurate head count of who all will be there. The fee for each person is $70, and is paid digitally this year through the link sent to your email.

See you there!
