Everybody makes mistakes when they are new drivers, and I, sadly, was not immune to some of the disasters that came with driving. It all started with a garage door. I was practicing pulling out and into my garage, when my mom decided that how I pulled in was not good at all so I needed to back out and retry. First mistake.

As the car started going forward, suddenly I had an empty space in my mind that had no idea which pedal was the gas and which one was the brake. My mom began to shout at me through the window, begging me to stop, but the car kept rolling closer and closer to the garage door at the lightning speed of 2 mph. As I listened to her yell, I began to panic and decided that I should just slam on one pedal and see what happens (in my defense I did have a 50-50 shot). Mistake number two.

The one I had chosen was the gas pedal, and I had just put all the force of my legs onto it. The car slammed through the garage door. Mistake number three.

My mom came over to survey the damage and found my car sitting in the center of the garage with the remains of the door surroundings it. There was no damage to the car though so I was feeling pretty good. Gotta look on the bright side, you know. Mistake number four cause I brought up this fact to my mom who was not so optimistic about my driving future.

But as the Hannah Montana song goes “Nobody’s Perfect.”

If you’re a new driver, no worries. Mistakes are going to happen, but that’s most of the fun.

See ya later, readers … sometime… maybe… probably not. I’m just kidding.

I’m not kidding.
