One day I was sitting at home chilling and basically doing nothing as most kids do when I began to watch my mom hustle back and forth at home. I started to think about all the stuff that she had done, was doing, and will do, and it hit me, “Why do moms do all this stuff?” Asking around at school, I found that most other kids moms also did the majority of the work.

In today’s society, women have many things that are expected of them daily.  They take care of the kids while still keeping the house clean and keeping a steady job. What makes woman have all these responsibilities? It is an ideal that is leftover from the Victorian era, which is long done with. Mrs. Burton, the senior English teacher, had begun to talk to us about how things used to be with women. Although they have more rights now in comparison to then, they now are also expected to do more because the expectations for an ideal wife have not changed. If you are really looking to get really fired up you should read, “I Want a Wife” by Judy Brady.

These things should no longer be expected from just women but be equally shared among the couple. In order to have a relationship last, the workload needs to be equal.

Maybe that is just me but whatever.

See ya on that flippity flip readers.
