Rain or shine, Florence Welch puts on a show. On October 9, a Friday, Florence + the Machine played Ascend Amphitheater for thousands of people and left every single one of them in awe.

From her opening song to the two demanded encores, Florence Welch maintained her eccentric and otherworldly stage presence. Security had a hard time keeping up with the singer as she ran through the crowd, still belting her songs. The large golden harp stage-right and the sounding trumpets stage-left only added to the heavenly feel of her performance. Florence didn’t just perform; she appealed to, related, and loved the audience through interactions and the passionate way she sang. She sang of love, life, sadness, and joy. This magical night let concert attendees “Shake It Off” because the “Dog Days Are Over.” Never will there be another person like Florence Welch, who inspires those who merely listen to her day after day.
