Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle with The Green Club

LA is going green with new plans to make the Lipscomb Academy High School a Green Ribbon school. Currently, there are only two schools in the state of Tennessee that have this honor, and the elementary school is one of them.

Mrs. Rickelton is the teacher who has taken on the role of coordinating with the elementary school to take special measures here at the high school and to insure that we are doing everything we can to give back to our planet. Our plan is to put recycling bins in classrooms and at sporting events to help remind people to not just waste what can be reused. We can accomplish this by applying for grants from other green organizations or from the state to help fund our new green initiative.

The Green Club is looking for more ideas on how to take steps to make Lipscomb Academy a greener school.  If you have any ideas or thoughts please stop by Mrs. Rickelton’s room and share them with us.
